The Alicat Scientific PC-EXTSEN contains no pressure sensor of its own; it connects a customer's pressure transducer to Alicat's control algorithm. This lets the PC valve and electronics regulate pressures beyond the ranges of built-in sensors. Corrosion-resistant options are offered and versions are listed for several PC valve sizes. Alicat lists PC-EXTSEN communications as RS-232 (default), RS-485, analog, Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, IO-Link.
