The AlphaLab Power Line Meter (PLM) checks electromagnetic interference on a single-phase AC power line, often called dirty electricity. It plugs straight into a wall socket, needs no battery, and immediately shows total line noise in millivolts peak to peak across 10 kHz to 10 MHz. Typical noise sources include switch-mode power supplies in computers, TVs and chargers, electric motors and power generation equipment such as solar inverters.
