The AlphaLab VGM is a three-axis DC gaussmeter for quickly finding and measuring magnetised areas; this part number is supplied without a hard carry case. X, Y and Z sensors at the probe tip let it show the true field magnitude regardless of probe orientation, so there is no need to rotate the probe to find a maximum. Typical uses are scanning parts for residual magnetism and mapping MRI fringe fields, including the 5 gauss line.
