The Brannan 10/973/0 is a general purpose specific gravity hydrometer from the M50 series, graduated from 1.60 to 1.65 SG. With a band of 1.60 to 1.65, it is used for liquids denser than water, giving relative density against water. Adjusted at 60 °F (15.6 °C), the M50 model 10/973/0 measures 270 mm overall and spans 0.050 SG with 0.001 SG divisions. Like the other M50 instruments, the 10/973/0 is similar to hydrometers in ISO 650 and in the now superseded 1960 issue of BS 718.
