Brannan ASU040 is a U-type syphon designed for horizontal installation, the counterpart to the vertical ASR040 ring syphon. It brings down the temperature of the process media before it reaches the pressure instrument and guards against pressure spikes and pulsations on liquids, gases and vapours. Rated from 100 bar at 100 °C to 63 bar at 400 °C, it uses 1/2 in connections and SCH 40 pipe in stainless steel 316, 316L or carbon steel, and can be fitted together with a shut-off valve.
