Xgard Type 3 is a flameproof catalytic-bead detector for flammable gases, giving a 3-wire mV bridge signal of typically 12-15 mV per %LEL methane. It runs from 2.0 V dc at about 300 mA and operates from -40 to +80 °C. Poison-resistant pellistors cover hydrocarbons, hydrogen, ammonia, jet fuel and halogenated vapours.
