Xgard Type 2 houses electrochemical toxic or oxygen sensors in a flameproof Exd enclosure of aluminium or 316 stainless steel. Like Type 1 it gives a 2-wire 4-20 mA current-sink signal from an 11-30 V dc supply, but it is certified II 2GD Exd IIC T6 Gb and UL Class I Div 1 Groups B, C and D. Weights are 1 kg in aluminium or 3.1 kg in stainless steel.
