Xgard Type 1 is the intrinsically safe member of the Crowcon Xgard range, using electrochemical cells for toxic gases and oxygen and a 2-wire 4-20 mA current-sink output. ATEX-certified versions come in glass-reinforced nylon or 316 stainless steel, and UL versions in aluminium or 316 stainless steel. It is certified II 1 G Ex ia IIC T4 Ga, with UL/cUL Class I Div 1 approval.
