The Crowcon Gas-Pro IR replaces the pellistor in the Gas-Pro platform with an infrared sensor for methane, pentane, propane and similar hydrocarbons. The IR channel compares two wavelengths to give a %LEL reading, keeps working in low or zero oxygen and is far less exposed to poisoning, avoiding regular pellistor replacement in contaminated areas. Up to five gases can be monitored in one unit.
