Xgard Type 6 uses a thermal conductivity sensor to measure gases at % volume concentrations rather than %LEL, for example hydrogen in air or in nitrogen. It provides a 3-wire 4-20 mA signal (sink or source) from 10-30 V dc and operates between +10 and +55 °C. The detector is offered in aluminium or 316 stainless steel.
