Graduated in mils, the DeFelsko PosiTest FM covers 0–80 mils of non-magnetic coating on steel. This magnetic pull-off (banana) gauge is intended for heavier coatings like galvanizing, metalizing, paint, enamel and plastic films, and needs no batteries thanks to its rare-earth cobalt magnet. Coating applicators and inspectors working in imperial units use it for quick, repeatable checks.
- Scale FM: 0–80 mils
- Tolerance ±0.2 mils up to 4 mils, ±5% of reading above 4 mils
- Carbide measuring probe for long life
- Can be used in any position; fully supported or on the probe tip alone
- GO/NO-GO button can be pre-set for rapid checks
- Conforms to ASTM D7091/B499 and ISO 2808
