The DeFelsko SPGOS1 combines the Standard PosiTector gage body with the cabled PosiTector SPG OS probe, a digital depth micrometer for blasted steel, flat or convex. It measures peak-to-valley profile from 0 – 500 µm (0 – 20 mils) and is suited to pipes, tanks and other convex surfaces with an OD above 3 mm, helped by the integral V-groove. Blasting contractors and coating inspectors use it to confirm surface preparation before coating.
