Dwyer Instruments DS-300-1-1/2 | Flow sensor | 1-1/2" pipe size
When paired with a suitable differential pressure gauge with an acceptable range, the Model DS-300-1-1/2 In-Line Flow Sensors are two series of averaging Pitot tubes for compatible gases and liquids that provide precise and convenient flow rate sensing for schedule 40 pipe. The Series DS-300 Averaging Flow Sensors are available in pipe sizes ranging from 1 to 10" (2.5 to 25.4 cm), and they are intended to be installed in the pipeline using a compression fitting. Accessories for the Model A-471 Portable Capsuhelic® Gauge Kit include adapters with 1/4" SAE 45° flared ends that work with the hoses that come with it. A pair of 1/8" NPT x 1/4" SAE 45° flared adapters are included with the Series DS-400 Averaging Flow Sensors, which are intended for insertion lengths up to 24" (61 cm). These adapters are compatible with the hoses found in the Model A-471 Portable Capsuhelic® Gauge Kit. The accompanying solid brass mounting adapter features a 3/4" male NPT thread for mounting in a threaded branch connection (not included) and a 3/4" dia. compression fitting to lock in the necessary insertion length.

- Time-saving single point velocity pressure measurement doesn't require "traversing" the flowing stream thanks to multiple sensing point measurement and built-in averaging capability.
- Pitot tubes are a tried-and-true device that has been used for years in flow measurement.
- Each model has an easy-to-use, fast-acting quarter-turn ball valve with 1/8" female NPT valve assembly process connections to isolate the sensor for zeroing.
- Both pressure connections have instrument shut-off valves with 1/8" female NPT connectors that are rated for 200 psig (13.7 bar) and 200°F (93.3°C).
- In cases where valves are not necessary, it is less expensive to exclude them.
- The exceptional 3/4" dia. stainless steel used in the construction of the Series DS-400 Averaging Flow Sensors allows them to withstand the additional stresses encountered at higher flow rates with both water and air.
