With an accuracy of ±1.5 dB, the SM-100 Digital Sound Meter model is perfect for measuring noise levels between 30 and 130 dB. The SM-100 model features a 1/2" condenser microphone, three distinct dB levels, and a frequency range of 31.5 Hz to 8 kHz. Two frequency weightings are available for the SM-100: the "A" weighting, which spans from 30 to 130 dB, and the "C" weighting, which spans from 35 to 130 dB. When the unit is set on quick response, the four-digit LCD backlit display may refresh in 0.5 seconds. The SM-100 model has a dynamic range of 50 dB, data hold, auto-ranging, auto power-off, and the capacity to record maximum and minimum values. The SM-100 is incredibly simple to use and store thanks to its small size. A battery, carrying case, black foam protector for the sensor, and an instruction booklet are all included with each unit.
