Product Overview

The Series TUF Ultrasonic Energy Meter uses ultrasonic technology to provide accurate and stable measurement of heating and cooling energy consumption. The TUF-1250-MD is the DN125 model, rated for a 100 m³/h permanent flow rate, and combines a flowmeter, temperature sensors, and energy calculator in a single compact device.

This integrated design makes the TUF-1250-MD suitable for tenant-level heat metering, utility billing, and energy monitoring in buildings where individual apartments, tenants, chillers, boilers, or HVAC circuits require separate energy measurement.

The meter has no moving parts, helping reduce maintenance requirements compared with mechanical BTU meters. Its 8-digit LCD display provides local readings of temperature, flow rate, and energy consumption directly at the meter.

The TUF-1250-MD uses Modbus® RTU communication for data transfer to compatible building management systems, monitoring platforms, and utility billing systems.

The DN125 version uses a GB9119 flange, 5" DN125 PN16 connection. It has a plastic housing with brass and 316L stainless steel wetted parts and an IP65 enclosure rating.

The meter can be installed horizontally or vertically. On horizontal pipe runs, installation should be at least 45° from horizontal to help prevent debris accumulation.

The unit operates on a 24 Vac/Vdc power supply, with an optional user-supplied 3.6V ER26500 lithium battery for backup. Power consumption is approximately 1 W.

For installations requiring BACnet communication instead of Modbus, the TUF-1250-BN variant uses the same DN125 flowmeter body and provides BACnet MSTP communication.
