The Martindale CD1000 (part number MARCD1000) is a general-purpose cable detector kit. Its transmitter injects a signal onto the target conductor and the receiver locates it by peak signal strength, allowing cables to be traced in walls and underground, fuses and breakers to be found on live or dead circuits, and breaks to be located in cables and electric floor heating. Metal water and heating pipes can be traced too. The kit includes transmitter, receiver, test leads with croc clips, earthing rod, batteries and instructions in a case.
