The Martindale MAREZ365 checks socket wiring and mains voltage, carries out a non-trip earth loop test, and adds a 30mA RCD trip test and an L-NE polarity swap check on the incoming supply. That swap is a serious fault that ordinary socket testers cannot detect, and it is triggered from a touchpad. Loop impedance is shown in six ranges from under 1.7 Ω to 500 Ω, making it an Advanced Socket Tester as defined by the HSE.
