Mitutoyo 145-191 Caliper Jaw Inside Micrometer 150-175mm

Part Number : 145-191

Part No. 145-191 | Range 150–175 mm | Graduation 0.01 mm | Accuracy ±10 µm

Product Overview

The Mitutoyo 145-191 Series 145 caliper jaw inside micrometer is designed for direct measurement of large internal dimensions from 150–175 mm. Its caliper-type jaws provide access to bores, internal grooves, recesses and slot widths that can be difficult to measure with conventional outside micrometers.

The caliper-type jaws are made from high-grade tool steel and incorporate carbide-tipped measuring faces for durable contact with the measured feature. A spindle locking clamp helps retain the measurement after the jaws have been positioned, allowing the instrument to be withdrawn from deep or awkward locations without unnecessarily disturbing the setting.

The satin chrome thimble and sleeve provide a clear mechanical scale with 0.01 mm graduation. The fully mechanical analog design requires no batteries, making the micrometer suitable for routine workshop and inspection applications.

The main unit has a supplied mass of 250 g. Before measurement, the inside micrometer should be checked and set against a reference of known size. A suitable setting ring or inside setting standard is required and is available separately.

For larger features, the adjacent Series 145 model, Mitutoyo 145-192, covers 175–200 mm.

Who This Product Is Best For

The Mitutoyo 145-191 is suited to machine shops, hydraulic and pump repair workshops, valve manufacturing, maintenance departments and dimensional inspection applications in Kuwait.

It is useful for machinists checking internal features, quality-control personnel verifying finished components and maintenance teams measuring bores and internal features on pumps, gearboxes, flanges and other machined or fabricated components.

The 150–175 mm range makes it suitable for applications below the range of the larger 145-192 model. For features from 175–200 mm, consider the Mitutoyo 145-192.

How to Use

  1. Set the micrometer against a setting ring or suitable inside standard of known dimension and adjust it correctly.

  2. Retract the jaws slightly below the expected feature size and position them squarely inside the bore or groove.

  3. Expand the jaws gently until both measuring faces contact the internal surfaces.

  4. Rock the micrometer slightly to locate the correct maximum reading across the feature.

  5. Use the spindle locking clamp to retain the measurement if required, then withdraw the instrument and read the thimble and sleeve.

Frequently Asked Questions
