This 0–5 mm head, 148-244, is graduated in 0.004 mm steps and has a spherical, SR1.5 radius spindle end. It is fitted into equipment through a 3.5 mm plain stem. With only 0.1 mm of spindle travel per revolution, adjustment over 0–5 mm is very fine. Spindle pitch is 0.1 mm, with a hardened steel (>60 HRC) measuring face on this spherical-tipped 0–5 mm unit.
