WST-02 is the standard solder bead sensor for the Wahl ST2200 soldering iron tester, without the bonnet found on the WST-02B. It uses a high temperature Type K ribbon thermocouple with a solder bead, supported by a stainless steel strap in a glass filled Teflon housing. When the iron melts the solder, thermal transfer is good and the reading represents the effective working tip temperature of most small conical, chisel and screwdriver tips.
