AlphaLab ZGC | Zero Gauss Chamber with Built-in Degausser | Probes up to 9.4 mm
Part Number : ZGC
The AlphaLab ZGC zero gauss chamber reduces the environmental (Earth) field to near zero so a gaussmeter can be zeroed and offset error removed. It accepts any probe under 9.4 mm (0.370 in) in diameter. Unusually, a degausser sits between its inner and outer mu-metal shields: a single button press clears accidental magnetisation of the chamber, which typically leaves a residual internal field of 0.2 to 0.5 G in a magnetised chamber.
Key features
- Internal field below 0.01 G in all three axes after degaussing, within a 5 mm wide x 9.4 mm diameter central region
- Below 0.002 G when degaussed and kept with its long axis east-west
- Built-in degausser erases accidental magnetisation, however strong
- Draws power only while the degauss button is pressed; 9 V battery (included) gives over 10 million cycles
- Included white spacer centres AlphaLab gaussmeter probes in the zero region
