Brannan 10/337/0 is a 270 mm M50-series olive oil hydrometer scaled from 0.95 to 1.00 g/ml with 0.001 g/ml divisions. The reading is taken by floating the hydrometer in the oil; a density between 0.920 and 1 shows the oil is not pure and holds a lot of water, so this upper range is useful for spotting dilution. Made in the UK to BS 718:1991 and adjusted at 20 °C, it is packed in a resealable plastic tube.
