The Dakota MultiMax (part number Z-226-0001) is a four-channel ultrasonic bolt tension monitor built for remote, continuous tracking of fastener length changes. Each channel works independently, so four bolts can be watched at once, and several MultiMax modules can be stacked and run from one interface through the Dakota MultiUI software, locally or remotely.
Instead of relying on torque, it sends an ultrasonic pulse along the fastener and measures the change in transit time to work out stretch, load, stress and %strain. Typical sectors include automotive, construction, aerospace, manufacturing and energy.
