The DeFelsko PRBFXS is the PosiTector 6000 FXS probe, sold as the probe only, so a PosiTector gage body is required. It is the Xtreme cabled probe built for hot, rough surfaces and fast scanning of large steel areas, measuring coatings on steel and other ferrous metals over a 0–2000 µm (0–80 mils) range. Coating inspectors and QC staff fit it to an existing Standard or Advanced body, since every PosiTector body accepts every probe.

- Zirconia-toughened alumina wear face and braided steel cable for harsh conditions

- 100+ readings per minute; Scan mode exceeds 200 readings per minute on Advanced bodies
- Compatible with PosiTector bodies with serial numbers above 700,000
