For shot blasted surfaces, the DeFelsko SRCMICSHOT ISO surface roughness comparator carries four reference grades at 25, 40, 70 and 100 µm. Placing it beside the prepared steel allows a fast visual and tactile comparison of profile depth to ISO 8503-1 and 8503-2, without instruments or power.
