Both metric and inches are available. For measuring both metal and non-metal workpieces, the Mitutoyo outdoor micrometer is perfect. The 103-219's ratchet-stop mechanism applies consistent pressure to a workpiece to enable accurate, repeatable measurements. For one-handed operation, the friction thimble types enable constant-force monitoring.
