The Mitutoyo 129-150 depth micrometer is designed for accurate depth measurement across a 0–12" range. Its 4" × .63" hardened, ground and micro-lapped base provides a stable reference surface across larger openings, while the micrometer head controls a ø4 mm interchangeable measuring rod.
Twelve interchangeable rods extend the measuring range in 1" steps, allowing one instrument to cover depths from 0 to 12". Each rod has a lapped measuring face, and the measuring-rod clamp secures the selected rod during use. A ratchet stop helps provide consistent measuring force for repeatable readings.
The wide 4" base is particularly useful when measuring larger housings, castings, flanges and machined components. Typical applications include counterbore depths, slot and keyway depths, step heights, shoulder distances and recessed features.
