The Palmer Wahl TC869 is a Type K thermocouple probe designed for surface temperature measurement up to 537.8 °C (1000 °F). It has an 8 in shank of 1/8 in diameter and a 0.250 in tip on a 45° spring-articulated head, which keeps the tip firmly against the surface for an accurate reading. The probe is also listed among the manufacturer's Heat Spy handheld infrared accessories.
