Plastiform MT-005 is the large-format pack of M80 LP, a hand-applied replication putty with an extended setting time. Its main role is clearance and air-gap control on assembled parts, and it can also be used in injection moulds. The pack contains one 900 ml pot split into two 450 ml components, plus two mixing spoons.
Key features
- Working time of about 7 minutes, with full polymerisation after roughly 35 minutes
- Sets to a semi-rigid, non-flexible replica of 80 Shore A
- Replica cannot deform during demoulding, so it suits simple shapes or partial impressions
- Can temporarily stiffen fragile parts before machining to reduce vibration and resonance
- Cutting with the Double Blade Cutter is possible but not recommended by the manufacturer
